UoB’s Information Technology Meets with the Advisory Committee for the Master’s Program

 The Advisory Committee of the master’s program at the College of Information Technology at the University of Bahrain (UoB) recommended continuing to present the latest developments in the field of information technology and paying attention to developing leadership and management skills for students of the program. 

This came in a meeting recently held by the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Director of the Quality Assurance Office at the College of Information Technology at UoB, Dr. Lamya Mohammed Al-Jasmi, which discussed several topics, including actions taken by the College of Information Technology based on previous recommendations of the Advisory Committee for the Master’s Program in Information Technology at the University. Also, the developed plan for the Master’s Program in Information Technology was presented, which is in line with the recommendations of the Committee, the program materials, and everything new in the field of information technology and the requirements of the Bahraini labor market, through the rehabilitation of qualified and trained national cadres that have the skills enabling them to develop the national economy. 

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Jasmi referred to reviewing the evaluation methods of the master’s program at the College of Information Technology at UoB, and methods of developing scientific research, presentation and leadership skills among students, presenting a study she has conducted to identify the needs of the labor market in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of information technology, and the skills that graduates must-have. 

The meeting was attended by a number of members of the Advisory Committee of the Master’s Program in Information Technology, a number of graduates of the program, and the coordinator of graduate studies programs at the College, Dr. Wael Mohammed Al-Madani, in addition to a number of postgraduate professors at the College.
