2139 Eligible Students Received their Devices.. UoB Continues to Distribute “Fina Khair” Laptops to needy Students

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, expressed the university’s deepest thanks to HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, for his support of students in need who received more than 2000 laptops, from “Fina Khair” campaign, which was launched as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to contain the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs of UOB, Dr. Fatima Mohammad Al-Malki, declared the completion of the distribution of the 24th batch of laptop computers for students in need, provided by “Fina Khair” campaign, in accordance with the eligibility criteria approved by the committee formed by the Deanship.

The University of Bahrain have so far distributed 2,139 laptop computers out of the 2,500 that were allocated by the campaign, under the directives of HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to the students of the University of Bahrain, to ensure education continuation.

The Dean of Students; Affairs confirmed that the process of distributing laptop computers was conducted in accordance with the precautionary measures to preserve the safety of everyone. Eligible students received laptop computers in designated places at the main gate of the University of Bahrain or Hall “18”, both of which prepared in accordance with the requirements of social distancing.

Dr. Al-Maliki urged new students who are in need and willing to benefit from this initiative to register via the link http://tiny.cc/dhx5tz and fill in the application form.

She added, “A team from the Deanship of Student Affairs will contact eligible students and provide them via e-mail with the forms necessary to complete the receiving procedures, so that students can fill in the forms and send them electronically.”
