Department of Psychology at UoB Discusses With “NHRA” Professional Licensing for Department Graduates

The Department of Psychology, College of Arts, University of Bahrain and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) discussed the standards of professional licensing to students studying in the programs of the Department of Psychology at UoB.
The two parties held a meeting via video conferencing technology to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and coordination with regard to professional licensing to graduates of the Department of Psychology at UoB, whether for master’s degree or minors in psychology.
The Department of Psychology was represented by the Head of the Department, Dr. Shaikha Ahmed Al-Junaid, and the department faculty members Dr. Ahmed Saad Jalal, Dr. Tawfiq Abdel Moneim, Dr. Mohammad Al-Mutawa, and Dr. Sami Al-Mahjoub, while the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) was represented by the Head of the Health Profession Regulation Dr. Zubaida Alshaikh, Registrar of Allied Medical Profession Haifa Hammoud, and Assistant Registrar of Allied Medical Professions Nouf Al-Shafei.
Dr. Al-Junaid reported that there are common grounds of understanding between the Department of Psychology and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) regarding adopting and aligning standards in line with the requirements of professions licensing and courses studied by psychology students in master’s degree or minors in psychology.
