Within the GCC Higher Education Plan, a Professor at the University of Bahrain Discusses Joint Programs to Enhance Academic Mobility

Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Amal Mohammad Al-Rayes, participated in the fourth meeting of the committee Following up on the strategic plan of the Committee of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the GCC Countries, which aims to form joint programs to promote comprehensive academic mobility for students and faculty members.

 

The committee discussed its work mechanism for the next stage, and the steps and procedures that require joint coordination between the ministries and institutions of higher education in GCC countries to complete the implementation of the strategic plan projects, and a proposed program for academic mobility similar to ERASMUS program.

 

Dr. Al-Rayes participated in the virtual meeting as the head of the sub-team consisting of three countries (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar), and as the representative of the University of Bahrain. Representatives of ministries and institutions of higher education and scientific research in the GCC countries also participated in the meeting.
