University of Bahrain President Receives Officials from Bridgewater State University and Stresses the Importance of Monitoring the Quality of Educational Outcomes to Achieve Comprehensive Development

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, stressed that the University of Bahrain continues to invest in higher education, as one of the pillars of comprehensive and sustainable development, through focusing on the quality of education, supporting creativity and innovation, intensifying efforts to publish scientific research in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and registering patents.
Dr. Al-Mudhahka made this statement during the reception of officials from Bridgewater State University (BSU), on Sunday January 15, 2023, to discuss ways of collaboration between the two universities.
Dr. Al-Mudhahka added that there have been notable achievements in the university in line with the scientific and technical progress, in terms of improving innovative teaching and learning methods and outcomes and developing curriculum and assessment methods. She affirmed that the University of Bahrain is also keen to benefit from practical solutions, initiatives, and proposals, through joint collaboration with elite universities and educational institutions.
For his part, the Academic Director of University Programs at Bridgewater State University, Prof. Jabbar Al-Obaidi, expressed his great happiness with the warm reception. He reviewed a wide range of academic disciplines offered by BSU, and the innovative learning experiences inside and outside classrooms which are student centered to ensure that graduates acquire a wide range of knowledge, competencies, and skills.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Study Programs at BSU, Dr. Rao Madhu, Mrs. Wafaa Al-Hassan as well as nine American students from various disciplines. Present from UoB were the Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, and Dr. Amal Mohammad Al Rayes, Assistant Professor at Department of Information Systems, College of Information Technology.
