Dr. Al-Mudhahka Receives a Copy of the Master’s Thesis of Researcher Asma Khaled Abdullah

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, stressed the importance of paying attention to historical studies related to the economic and social aspects of the eastern Arabian Peninsula. She lauded the efforts of young researchers in this field.

 

Dr. Al-Mudhahka made this statement when she received researcher Asma Khaled Abdullah, who presented her with a copy of her master’s thesis in Islamic history obtained from Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The President of the University praised the thesis titled, “Eastern Arabian Cuisine in the Abbasid Era.” She noted that few studies addressed these topics, which highlight the impacts of the eating habits on the economic aspects and social conditions.

 

Dr. Al-Mudhahka stressed the importance of studies in the history of the region, given the scarcity of studies related to different eras. She affirmed the need to adopt solid scientific methods based on induction, analysis, and deduction.

 

For her part, the researcher thanked the University President for the warm reception and the inspiring words. She expressed her aspiration to continue research efforts in the history of the region and their current and future impacts.
