The University of Bahrain Holds Graduation Ceremony for 1075 Students of Accounting and Marketing at the College of Business Administration

The College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain celebrated the graduation of 1,075 graduates of students of accounting and marketing, out of 2,517 graduates from the College of Business Administration, on Tuesday January 24, 2023.

 

The graduation ceremony of the 24th batch, which is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, includes the graduation of students of (2017/2018 – 2021/2022) batches.

 

The Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain, Professor Hatem bin Mahmoud Al-Masri, gave a speech on this occasion. Dr. Al- Masri addressed the graduates “Your fathers have established the institutions where we received our education throughout the second half of the twentieth century. They sacrificed a lot, dreamed a lot, worked hard, to make our world much better than theirs.” He pointed out that the challenge graduates face is not very different, and whatever choices they make in the next few years will shape the future of our Kingdom and our world. He stressed that the new generation will be able to put forward the Kingdom of Bahrain. He wished the graduates every success in their working life and urged them to demonstrate integrity and honesty at work.

 

The graduate, Ayman Nader Hassan graduates gave the graduation speech in which he expressed the graduate’s happiness. Hasan said, “Today we have finished a major stage in our life and start our working life. We shall work hard and diligently to optimally serve our dear homeland.”

 

Hassan added: “We take pride in our national university, which has spared no effort to graduate a generation capable of keeping pace with the qualitative shifts that the Kingdom is witnessing, under the patronage of the University of Bahrain President, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka and with the tremendous efforts of the deans, heads of scientific departments, and all academic and administrative staff.”

 

During the morning celebration, the graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 received their certificates from the Vice President for Information IT, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, while the Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, handed over graduates of Accounting 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 their certificates during the evening ceremony.

 

It is worth mentioning that the College of Business Administration was established in 1986. In 2009, it adopted the modernization and development approach, through the criteria and international frameworks of quality. The Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Office was established in the college to achieve this goal.  In 2014, the College obtained local accreditation for its programs, and in 2016 it ranked among the best 5% of business schools in the world, after obtaining the most prestigious global accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, (AACSB).
