Dr. Al-Mudhahka stresses the importance of university leaders’ meetings to discuss best educational practices UOB Participates in the Meeting of GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions’ Presidents & Directors in Al-Khobar

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, participates in the 25th meeting of the GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions’ Presidents and Directors, hosted by Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, from 25 to 26 January 2023.

Dr. Al-Mudhahka stressed the importance of meetings between GCC university leaders, to discuss the prominent and best educational practices, and the developments in various fields. Noting the need to exchange experiences between universities of brotherly countries regarding developments in higher education methods, and regional cooperation to discuss education issues and ways of development.

The meeting of universities and higher education institutions’ presidents and directors is scheduled to be held on Thursday (January 26, 2023). The meeting was preceded by an academic seminar, and a presentation of the e-learning guideline on Wednesday, January 25.

The seminar discussed “universities’ role in achieving the objectives of the Human Capacity Development Program”, where the committee reviewed three topics: the characteristics of the globally competitive citizen, universities and the future labor market, and lifelong learning.

Vice President of the University of Bahrain for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Muhammed Redi Qader, participated on Wednesday (January 25, 2023) in the preparatory meeting of the Vice Deans and Vice Rectors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC countries.

He also participated in a visit organized by the Education Department of the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf -for participants in the event- to the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).
