The Meeting Discussed the Database of (Jisr) And Joint Working Committees Dr. Al-Mudhaka Praises the Findings of The Directors of Gulf Universities’ meeting

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al- Mudhahka, praised the contents of the twenty-fifth meeting of the Committee of The Directors and Presidents of Universities and The Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries – which was hosted by Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday (26 January 2023).
Following the meeting, Dr. Al-Mudhahka thanked in her statement the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the management and staff of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University for facilitating the success of this meeting. She stressed the importance of holding these meetings, which contribute to the exchange of academic and administrative experiences between university officials in the region and contribute to strengthening the network of communication and cooperation between them.
The meeting of the Committee discussed the decisions of the Committee of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the GCC countries and the developments of the Gulf Database (Jisr), the joint work committees, and the award of the Committee of The Directors and Presidents of Universities and The Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Meanwhile, the Dean of e-learning and distance learning at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dr. Munira Badr Al-Mahashir, gave a presentation on the e-learning guide.
On the margins of the meeting, a symposium was held on “The Role of Universities in Achieving the Goals of the Human Capacity Development Program”, which went over three axes: the characteristics of a globally competitive citizen, universities and the future labor market, and lifelong learning.
Inaddition, on Wednesday (25 January 2023), UoB’s Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qadir, participated in the preparatory meeting for the representatives and deputy directors of universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries.
