Among Five Arab referees from All Continents The International Badminton Federation Approves a Student at UoB as A Line Judge

The International Badminton Federation approved a student from the University of Bahrain (UoB) as a line judge, to participate in officiating main major tournaments, following the nomination of a number of referees from all continents, including five Arab referees.
Zainab Mohammed Saleem, a student at the College of Health and Sports Sciences (CHSS), Department of Physical Education, UoB, was approved as a line judge for the period 2023-2026. Her selection came after meeting a series of standards, including: the referee should not be older than 65 years old, to have five years or more of international experience as a line judge, to have a referee certificate at the national level, and be fluent in the English language.
Noting that the International Federation has approved five Arab referees, namely: Algerian referee Lamia Kharraz, and Egyptian referee Ahmed Meshaal for the period from 2021 to 2024, as well as the Egyptian referee Manar Ali, Bahraini referee Zainab Saleem, and Saudi referee Moahmmed Basudan for the period from 2023 to 2026.
