The University of Bahrain President is gifted a Copy of Al-Aali’s PhD Thesis on Ecotourism

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, received Dr. Fatima Abdulredha Al-Aali, the curricula specialist at the Ministry of Education at the University in Sakhir, on Monday February 6, 2023. Dr. Al-Aali presented Dr. Al-Mudhahka with a copy of her PhD thesis titled “Natural and Social Factors for the Development of Sustainable Ecotourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain: A Study Using Geographic Information Systems”.

 

Al-Aali received her PhD degree in Environmental Studies from the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University, Arab Republic of Egypt. The researcher conducted an analytical field study on the role of natural and social tourism attractions in the development of ecotourism and achievement of sustainable development goals. She monitored the movement of incoming tourism and set future visions for the development of tourism in general, and ecotourism.

 

The University President praised the thesis’s content and objectives. She lauded the researcher’s effort and the added value of her study, being an important reference for measuring and developing environmental and social tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Mudhahka noted that tourism courses are taught in the Department of Mass Media, Tourism and Fine Arts and that this study will certainly contribute to this major.

 

For her part, Dr. Al-Aali extended her thanks to the University of Bahrain President for the warm reception. She noted that these meetings contribute to encouraging researchers and highlighting scientific efforts made in all fields so that all sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain can benefit from these scientific studies.
