Bentley Education Allows UoB’s Civil Engineering Students to Use Its Applications

A workshop held at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Bahrain (UoB) reviewed the methods of accessing the “Bentley Education” platform, which civil engineering students and professors use in their projects and scientific research.
A faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Mohammed Ajmal, gave a presentation on how to use the company’s systems and applications, that the company has made available to civil engineering students at the University.
While the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Shaikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, appreciated the step taken by Bentley, noting the importance of these partnerships represented in the exchange of knowledge with a number of international research centers that provide access to their databases, and enables benefitting from their applications in the completion of advanced scientific research, stressing that the College of Engineering at UoB has a wide network of connections in this field, in order to allow professors and students – whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels – to benefit from these advanced websites.
For her part, the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Dr. Nuha Jamal Al-Zayani, praised Bentley’s initiative, that gave the Department’s students and professors the opportunity to use about 30 applications on its platform for civil engineering research and projects in its various tracks.
Moreover, she expressed her happiness for the continued cooperation between the two sides, praising the educational support provided by the Company, and its cooperation in providing academic access in the Civil Engineering Department to use civil engineering software applications in teaching, graduate design projects for undergraduate students, postgraduate theses, and academic research.
