The University of Bahrain President Receives a Delegation from the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, stressed the importance of the University of Bahrain’s role in directing the educational process towards achieving social development goals, through adopting a culture of community service and lifelong learning.
Dr. Al-Mudhahka made this statement during her reception of US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ethan Rosenweig, on Sunday February 19, 2023, at the university’s premises in Sakhir, to discuss ways of collaboration in higher education.
Dr. Al-Mudhahka reviewed the latest university programs conducted in collaboration with public and private entities at the local and international levels, including American educational institutions, that contribute to identifying talented youth people, shaping diverse cultures, in line with scientific and technical developments, as well as developing students’ creative abilities, and supporting them to achieve academic excellence.
For his part, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ethan Rosenzweig welcomed collaboration with the University of Bahrain in the fields of academic exchange, accreditation, and student exchange programs. He lauded the fruitful efforts of the educational institutions at the University of Bahrain, noting the role of the US Embassy in spreading the values of tolerance and collaboration, meeting educational needs, and protecting cultural heritage.
The meeting was attended by University of Bahrain Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al-Ansari, Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Amal Mohammad Al-Rayes.
Present from the Embassy was the Deputy Chief of Mission David P. Brownstein, Special Assistant to Deputy Assistant Secretary Maureen James, and Embassy Public Affairs Officer, Linda McMullen.
