The Coordinating Committee for INJAZ Bahrain Programs at the University is working to present the Organization’s programs to university students from various disciplines, as a series of workshops will be held under the “Head Start” and ” Innovation Camp” programs, during the current semester 2022/2023.

The Head of the Committee and Director of the Business Incubation Center at the University, Dr. Esra Ahmed Wali, stated that the “Head Start” program enhances students’ employment and professional opportunities, in addition to developing work-readiness skills, enabling them to learn how to write a resume, understand the importance of preparing for a job interview, and how to have successful job interviews. She also confirmed that the program is offered as a practical training course in various colleges, as the content of the program is related to the students’ experience in the course, and it can be introduced in the relevant courses, which prepare students for the work environment.

Furthermore, she explained that the Committee is working with INJAZ Bahrain to launch the “Innovation Camp” workshop, which enables students to find innovative solutions to business challenges through innovation, creative thinking, and teamwork. The program tests students in leadership skills, critical thinking, and presentation skills, and introduces them to business start-ups in an entertaining way. Dr. Wali said that the colleges integrate the program into courses that contain research based components, to find solutions to problems, by employing skills they learn in the courses.

Moreover, she added that the Coordinating Committee for INJAZ Bahrain’s programs registered students during the first semester in the following programs: Head Start, Innovation Camp, and The Company, where more than a thousand students participated.

It is worth noting that the University of Bahrain’s (UoB) cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain started in 2011, by offering the Organization’s programs to all its students. INJAZ Bahrain is a non-profit organization established in 2005 as part of Junior Achievement Worldwide, with the aim of empowering youth in the economic field and preparing them to face current and future business challenges.
