Under the auspices of the CEO of Digital Media Academy, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, and the CEO of Abdulaziz and Sara Kanoo Foundation, Bader Abdulaziz Kanoo, the Company recently held a graduation ceremony, in which it graduated 26 students from the University of Bahrain (UoB), after participating in the technological skills programs, which come as a grant from Abdulaziz and Sara Kanoo Foundation for Technology Scholarships.

A graduation ceremony was held for the program’s first batch of graduates, numbering 75 graduates – the majority of whom are graduates of UoB- who were awarded a professional and specialized certificate approved by the Digital Media Academy. As participants benefited from the scholarship provided by Abdulaziz and Sara Kanoo Foundation, in the areas of website development, video games development, creative design, and programming and artificial intelligence.

The technological skills programs offered by the Academy aim to provide graduates with the modern technical skills required in the labor market, bridge the gap between education and employment, and provide Bahraini youth between the ages of 18-35 years with the tools and skills required in the current and future labor market.

The program focuses on programming, artificial intelligence, and creative design, moving away from the traditional method of lectures, and focusing on providing a scientific experiment that enhances work on practical and applied projects.

It is worth noting that the technological skills program was launched in November 2022, within the interest of Abdulaziz and Sara Kanoo Foundation in honing the skills of Bahraini youth, in a way that qualifies them to effectively contribute to the technological renaissance in the Kingdom, based on their belief in the efficiency of Bahraini youth and their ability to deal with modern technology, which qualifies them to engage in both local and global markets, in addition to the implementation of the will of the late Abdulaziz and Sarah Kanoo, to facilitate science and learning to serve the country.

Digital Media Academy was founded in 1999 at Stanford University in California, USA, to provide education in the field of technology, and the institution began the journey of expansion into the most prestigious universities such as: Stanford University, Harvard University, Oxford, New York, and others.
