The Business Incubator at UoB Reviews the Fundamentals of Startups and Entrepreneurship

The Business Incubation Center at the University of Bahrain (UoB) hosted Ali Al-Alawi, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Unipal, to give a lecture titled: “How to Pitch your Startup”, which was attended by a number of the University’s students.
From his experience in launching Unipal, Al-Alawi explained to the students the importance of the business model and accepting change during the stages of the company’s maturity and answered the students’ questions on the mechanism for investors’ calculation of potential risks, maintaining the interest of investors in the company’s vision and mission, and how to attract the right investors and partners.
Moreover, the center recently hosted the founder and CEO of “Noor Coaching”, trainer Nourhan Ali Al-Zan, to deliver a remote lecture on “Financial Planning and Financing for Startups”, in which she explained how to financially plan for startups, ways to finance them, and how to benefit from funding provided by the elements of the entrepreneurial environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In addition, the Center hosted the Director of Bahrain Science Centre for Sustainable Development Goals of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Latifa Abdullah Mutaiwee, to give a lecture on “Social Entrepreneurship 101”, through which students learned about a group of local and international companies within the social entrepreneurship system, and ways to benefit from the services provided by the Center within this system.
