Congratulating Dr. Al-Fahal on Winning The “Athar Digital Art” Exhibition. Dr. Mudhahka: Arts Are a Leverage and A Motivator for The Advancement of Women

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher Bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, congratulated Dr. Tamadher Ali Al-Fahal, a faculty member in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, on winning the third place in the “Athar Digital Art” exhibition, which was concerned with the Bahraini women’s journey, contributions, and excellence, and included various messages about women’s achievements.
During her reception of Dr. Al-Fahal today (Tuesday), Dr. Mudhahka confirmed that showing the journey of women and their contributions through art is a wonderful idea, as art is a leverage and a motivator that contributes to activating the movement aimed at the advancement of women and the sustainability of their progress, expressing her pride that a faculty member at the University is one of the winners in this competition.
The Supreme Council for Women had organized the “Athar Digital Art Exhibition” on the margins of the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women, which is the largest annual gathering in the United Nations on equal opportunities, gender equality and the empowerment of women, which focuses this year on innovation, technological change, and education in the digital age to enhance working on bridging the gender gaps in this field.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Mudhahka praised the Supreme Council for Women’s efforts, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, to ensure the sustainability of women’s progress in various fields, and its endeavor to create a healthy environment conducive to expressing the energies of Bahraini women.
In addition, the University President praised Dr. Tamadher Al-Fahal’s artistic work, and her distinguished activity, wishing her further success, whether in the artistic or academic path.
For her part, Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at the College of Engineering, Dr. Tamadher Al-Fahal, expressed her thanks to the University President for the interest, care and encouragement that she shows to the faculty members, whether in academic and practical affairs or in the technical and cultural affairs, noting her keenness to promote the University’s cadres in various forums.
The jury recently announced that the artist Ahmed Fuad won the first place in the competition, while the artist Lina Al-Ayoubi won the second place, and the artist Dr. Tamadher Al-Fahal won the third place.
It is worth noting that Dr. Al-Fahal participated in the exhibition with three digital artworks that revolve around female Bahraini figures that show the strong personality of Bahraini women, their ability to endure and give, and their role in raising generations, without neglecting the role of men in supporting women to complement their roles in the advancement of society.
