Incubating Three Projects by the University’s Students and Graduates UoB Business Incubation Center Provides an Ideal Environment for Budding Entrepreneurs

The Director of the Business Incubation Center at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali, confirmed the Center’s role in meeting the needs of entrepreneurs of the University’s students and graduates, by providing an ideal environment for creativity, to transform innovative ideas into successful commercial projects, as the Center recently incubated three emerging projects by the University’s students and graduates.

Among these emerging projects is the “Dar MaDaar” platform, which was established by the student in the field of actuarial sciences at the College of Science, Maram Arif Murad, along with the founding partner, a graduate of the College of Arts and Design, Hamad Al-Mannai. The platform uses gaming in an innovative way as a marketing approach to increase sales for companies participating in the platform, and to encourage youth to participate in local tourism.

The student, Maram, stated that the idea of the “Dar Madar” project got qualified in the “Mashroo3i” program supported by Tamkeen, and to complete the project, the project was incubated at UoB’s Business Incubation Center, to obtain more support and guidance, in order to increase access to young customer, which would contribute to launching the platform.

In addition, the student, Maram, established the “Souq Analyst” company, which is a digital community for those who invest in digital assets in the GCC countries. This digital community provides news about cryptocurrency markets, analyzes, insights, and opportunities in the region.

Moreover, it incubated another project by a student majoring in statistics and operations research from the College of Science, Abdullah Abduljalil, which aims to launch an application to facilitate services provided to people with special needs, and includes an education and training service, and the provision of individual consultations for people with special needs, to develop their capabilities and integrate them into society.

The Center continues to receive incubation requests for the University’s students and graduates through its website. It is worth noting that the Business Incubation Center helps the University’s students and graduates who have innovative ideas to establish and develop businesses and companies, by providing appropriate support for the development of these innovative ideas and inventions in an entrepreneurial environment, and by providing technical and scientific consultations provided by specialists in various fields. In addition, the Center cooperates with various public and private institutions, and entrepreneurial environments in the Kingdom, to support incubated projects of the University’s students and graduates.
