The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari inaugurated on Sunday (September 3, 2023), the new book center on Sakhir campus, stressing that the center, held in partnership with Growmore Learning Solutions, will help students enhance their educational experience.
The ceremony was attended by Growmore Director Mr. Lokesh Malhotra (Kuwait partner), Mr. Shabbir Sharafali Abdultayeb, Growmore Director (Bahrain Partner), MP Ahmed Al-Salloum (member of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce), Bahrain Chamber Second Vice-Chairman Mohammed Abduljabbar Alkooheji, the Ambassador of Malaysia H.E. Shazryll Zahiran and the Ambassador of Thailand H.E Piyapak Sricharoen.
During his keynote speech at the inauguration ceremony of the center, which was held in the presence of a number of faculty members, staff and students, Dr. Al-Ansari noted that the university is opening the center in its new form, believing in the importance of providing a space that combines academic, cultural and creative aspects to promote intellectual diversity and to broaden students’ scientific horizons, thus contributing to a holistic educational journey.
Dr. Al-Ansari expressed his delight with the inauguration of this Learning center, as a pivotal place for learning and enjoying reading, that enhances students and faculty members’ educational and research experience and provides holistic and innovative experiences. Calling on all university affiliates, especially students, to benefit from the educational and knowledge options the center provides to its visitors, which includes Growmore’s Digital Learning Experience Center and pioneering Art Gallery featuring students’ creative art and paintings.
Growmore CEO Shailendra Srivastava delivered a speech highlighting the company’s vision and the services it offers at the Book Center along with its impact in which he said: ” The center is an innovative library, equipped with a distinctive reading space, designed to meet the needs of students and faculty members”.
He added: “The center brings together a wide and diverse collection of academic and literary books, allowing students and faculty members to access educational resources and innovative educational sources, to support research and learning, along with literary works, and selections of new books.”
He mentioned that the center features comfortable reading spaces with modern furniture and quiet areas, all aimed at improving the reading experience and encouraging idea sharing. Additionally, he shed light on Growmore’s Bookstore Digital Learning Experience Center and Growmore’s pioneering Art Gallery—both nestled within the learning center—each offering an enriching experience to students, faculty members, and visitors alike.
