Students Active Participation in Training Workshops and Preparing for The Work Environment UoB Wins the “Best University Implementing INJAZ Bahrain Programs” Award

The University of Bahrain (UoB) won the “Best University Implementing INJAZ Bahrain Programs” award for the year 2022/2023 among the Kingdom’s universities, due to its students’ active participation in the pioneering programs offered by the Foundation throughout the year.
The President of UoB, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, congratulated the University affiliates on this occasion, stressing that the University’s contributions to INJAZ Bahrain programs help advance the entrepreneurship system in the Kingdom, through the participation of students in finding innovative solutions to business challenges, by employing leadership and critical thinking skills.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Ansari pointed to the cooperative spirit of students and their work within student teams, which encourages teamwork and benefitting from peer learning, in order to exchange experiences and prepare them for success in the work environment.
The award was received – on behalf of the University President – by the Head of the Information Systems Department at the College of Information Technology and the Head of the Coordination Committee for INJAZ Bahrain Programs, Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali, at the ceremony held by the Foundation on Monday (September 11, 2023), to honor the distinguished partners and volunteers who contribute to supporting the Foundation’s programs and empowering the Kingdom’s youth.
At the ceremony, a number of faculty members were honored, namely: from the College of Science, former faculty member Dr. Thuraya Juma Abdullah was honored in the Diamond Volunteer category, from the College of Engineering, Dr. Reem Abbas Sultan was honored in the Platinum Volunteer category, and from the College of Information Technology, Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali was honored in the Golden Volunteer category.
The committee was keen to involve the largest number of students – from all colleges – in the “INJAZ Bahrain” program workshops, as 2,000 students participated in the “Head Start” program, 684 students participated in the “World of Innovation” program, and 100 students participated in the “Company” program, bringing the total number of participants to 2,784 male and female students in various programs.
Furthermore, Dr. Wali praised the contributions of the committee members to the attainment of the University of this award, in addition to the efforts of volunteer faculty members and their active participation.
