The activities of the twentieth edition of the Career Fair at the University of Bahrain (UoB) will begin tomorrow, Tuesday (November 28, 2023), in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UoB, and with the participation of 43 institutions and companies from various sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Fair, which is organized by UoB over three days, seeks to create job opportunities for graduates, introduce employers and various institutions to the UoB’s outputs and the programs it offers, and to involve these institutions in various activities and events held at the University, in a way that achieves convergence between the aspirations of the UOB students and graduates, and the requirements of the companies and institutions in the labor market sector.
In this regard, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of UoB, confirmed that the Career Fair has become one of the important annual highlights on the University’s agenda, which the University is keen to organize as an academic tradition that helps prepare students and graduates for practical life, and acquaints them with the changes in the labor market locally and globally, noting UoB’s keenness to highlight opportunities and open horizons for students and graduates to join the labor market.
Al-Ansari said that the Fair aims to strengthen communication channels between institutions and companies and the University, and introduce the University’s students to the various companies and institutions in the labor market, in addition to introducing them to labor regulations and laws, encouraging them to join the jobs approved by institutions within the various work sectors, and introducing them to training and development programs in those institutions.
The Career Fair hosts various job sectors, which contribute to developing the relationships of students and university graduates with companies, as the companies display their career options at the Fair and announce their available job vacancies.
