Stressed the importance of translation in the development of knowledge and cultural exchange The President of University of Bahrain receives a copy of the book “Understanding the Prophet’s Hadith” by Dr. Dheya Aljalahma

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, stressed the importance of translation in the development of knowledge, cultural exchange, cross-fertilization of ideas and convergence between peoples, praising the scientific efforts made by researchers in systematic translation that considers the cultural and social context of the texts.

 

The president received Dr. Dheya Shaheen Aljalahma, Assistant Professor of Translation Studies at the Department of English Language and Literature at the College of Arts at the University of Bahrain, who presented him with a copy of her latest book: “Understanding the Prophet’s Hadith: Issues in the Translation of Mishkat Al-Masabih”, which was recently published by Routledge International House.

 

The President of the University praised the scientific efforts of Dr. Aljalahma in laying methodological foundations for translating the Prophet’s hadiths, pointing out that the university encourages all faculty members to publish sober scientific publications that help achieve more understanding and rapprochement between peoples.

 

For her part, Dr. Dheya Shaheen Aljalahma thanked Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, for encouraging scientific publishing, and motivating faculty members to continue achieving the university’s mission and vision as a source of cultural and scientific circulation.
