GCC Secretariat General and University of Bahrain sign a MOU

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, received His Excellency Mr. Jassim Muhammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Isa Town. HE the Minister praised the keenness of the Secretariat General of the Council to enhance cooperation and coordinate efforts in the field of education and scientific research, and to build bridges with educational institutions and research centers in order to achieve common educational goals.

During the visit, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain and His Excellency the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation between the Secretariat General and the University in all fields of education, training, studies, research and dissemination of knowledge, within the agreements through which the GCC Secretariat General seeks to enhance the integration of efforts and coordination in the educational and knowledge aspect among the GCC countries.

For his part, His Excellency Mr. Jassim Muhammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, praised the advanced academic level of the University of Bahrain, in addition to its clear role in developing plans, programs and studies that contribute to the development and strengthening of Bahraini national capabilities, stressing that the GCC Secretariat General seeks to make the most of this memorandum by operating it directly to achieve common goals.
