Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, said students’ graduation projects reflect the students’ ability to develop innovative projects and distinctive products that enable them to establish their own projects, become entrepreneurs, and enhance their contributions to advancing various development paths.

The president gave his speech during the opening ceremony of the graduation projects exhibition for students of the College of Engineering for the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024, organized by the College of Engineering. Dr. Adnan Al-Tamimi, Vice President of the Bahrain Society of Engineers, faculty members and staff, students, their parents, and representatives of industrial sectors participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Al Ansari praised the students’ projects, which were closely related to the industrial sector, and their attempt to find effective solutions to engineering challenges, calling on students to start preparing for their own projects, given their skills and abilities, and to benefit from the services the university provides, especially the university’s business incubator, which may adopt their projects.

The students presented 51 distinguished graduation projects at the college, completed by 91 students within six academic programs: mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, process instrumentation and control, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and electronic engineering.

Dr. Al-Ansari and Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, handed the winning students appreciation shields and certificates.  The projects dealt with various engineering topics, such as: groundwater management, automotive system development, solar energy, wireless control, and industrial modeling.
