Arabian Gulf University and University of Bahrain Sign a MOU to Expand Research Publishing Horizons
The President of the Arabian Gulf University, Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Al-Ansari, aimed at enhancing efforts in scientific publishing in the universities of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in a creative, effective and attractive manner.
The memorandum also aims to deliver master’s and doctoral theses issued by AGU and UOB to universities, research centers, institutions and institutes of studies and research, intellectual institutions or thought banks at the Gulf, regional and global levels, in a way that contributes to increasing the citations of these scientific theses, knowing the number of browsers for scientific theses summaries, and uploading those theses on the AGUsoft platform.
During the signing, the President of the Arabian Gulf University welcomed the efforts to deepen research cooperation with the University of Bahrain, describing the signing of the memorandum of understanding as an important step that will strengthen the relationship between the two universities in the field of research and publishing, in a way that enriches the quality of education and research innovation. He pointed out that this signing is the beginning of a fruitful strategic partnership that will enhance and increase the impact of Gulf universities scientifically and intellectually, and increase the publication in the Hirsch Index-H for researchers from graduate students, academics and professors supervising the conduct and implementation of research and theses, which will be reflected in the classification of the two universities at the global level.
For his part, the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Al-Ansari, stressed the importance of signing the MOU with AGU and its role in forming effective joint research cooperation between the two universities in line with UOB’s endeavor to enhance future research horizons to advance the reality of scientific research in the Kingdom of Bahrain, by expanding the circle of publishing at the local, regional and global levels. He explained that expanding the horizons of publishing using the AGUsoft platform at the AGU will work to bring Gulf universities to more advanced ranks in international classifications, and contribute to making these research and theses a tool to advance knowledge, and also contribute to finding creative solutions to various technical, social and educational issues.
