The English Language Center at the University of Bahrain hosts the British poet Alben

A group of students from various academic disciplines at the University of Bahrain participated in a workshop on reading poetry and creative writing, presented by the British poet Astrid Alben.

The event, which was held on Monday, February 12, 2024, was organized in cooperation between the University of Bahrain and the British Council.

The English Language Center hosted the British poet, to train students on free writing and creative writing, through innovative and interactive workshop activities, as creative writing exercises allowed participants to express a wide range of ideas, based on their personal experiences and emotions.

Alben is the author of four poetry collections and has translated her work into Chinese, Romanian, Slovenian, Maltese and other languages.
