Approval of 30 Arab universities to join the umbrella of the Union Dr. Al-Ansari Participates in the Association of Arab Universities conference and the Executive Council Meeting

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, participated in the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the meeting of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities for the fifty-fifth session at the University of Baghdad.

The meeting of the Executive Council, which was held on Sunday (March 3, 2024), approved the accession of 30 Arab universities to the umbrella of the Association of Arab Universities.

While the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, was held from 4 to 6 March 2024, witnessing several dialogue sessions on international cooperation and the Arab classification project for Arab universities.

The President of the University of Bahrain noted the results of the conference and the executive meeting, and the positive scientific atmosphere that prevailed during this session, where the opportunity was provided for scientific and academic understanding and cooperation between Arab universities, and to learn about some experiences in them.

Dr. Al-Ansari stressed that the Association of Arab Universities is one of the successful Arab frameworks, as it brings together the Arab universities affiliated to it, to enhance cooperation and communication among them, benefit from each other’s experiences, and enhance the quality of higher education in the Arab region.

He noted the Union’s role in supporting scientific research and innovation in Arab universities, by providing resources, financial support to researchers and scientists, enhancing Arab and international cooperation and integration, and deepening research partnerships.

The Association of Arab Universities is an Arab non-governmental organization that has an independent legal character, with its headquarters in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
