UoB Students Participate in a Tax Workshop at EY

The Career Guidance Office at the University of Bahrain organized a tax workshop for distinguished students from the College of Law and Business Administration, at EY’s headquarters in the capital, Manama, on Thursday (March 7, 2024).
The workshop aims to introduce students – who are about to graduate – to job opportunities available in the field of taxation, and skills and qualifications required to work in this field and aims to enhance cooperation between the University of Bahrain and private sector companies, to provide training and career opportunities for students.
The students learned about the vital areas of taxes in the labor market, and the importance of the audit process in institutions and companies, and toured the tax department and various other departments in the company, and were briefed on their nature of work, and met with the company’s managers and employees of the tax department.
The students met with the General Manager of EY – Bahrain Branch – Abdullatif Al-Mahmoud, who stressed EY’s keenness to provide training opportunities for University of Bahrain students, to prepare them for the labor market, and to employ distinguished ones.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Najeeba Abdulla Al-Zaimoor, Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain.
