General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities appoints UOB President for membership of the Arab Youth Council

The General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, during its 56th session, which was held recently in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, selected Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, to be a member of the Arab Youth Council of the Union for a period of three years from 2024 to 2027.

The management of the Arab Youth Council in its fifty-sixth session consists of Prof. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, President of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the membership of Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Faisal bin Yousif Al-Anezi, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Mr. Muammar Al-Rryani, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Yemen, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Baddah, Minister of Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the State of Kuwait.

The Board of Directors also includes Dr. Nasser Ali Al-Qahtani, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization of the League of Arab States, Mr. Hassan Bu Hazza, President of the Arab Union for Volunteering in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, Prof. Omar Mohamed Al-Ansari, President of Qatar University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Prof. Ghaleb Awad Al-Refae, President of Al Ain University, United Arab Emirates, and Prof. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Arab Youth Council seeks to provide a platform for young people globally to identify their needs, encourage cooperation between them, to bring about meaningful change and lasting participation, and seeks to guide young people to become active and engaged global citizens.
