Specialized Workshop Discusses Exploration of Unconventional Gas

The College of Engineering at the University of Bahrain organized a specialized workshop in the field of unconventional gas exploration, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Bahrain, the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies, in addition to the Society of Petroleum Engineers – Bahrain.

Prof. Mohan Kelkar, Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Tulsa, USA, an international expert in unconventional gas discoveries and extractions, spoke at the workshop, which was held at the E-Learning Center on April 29, 2024.

The event was attended by a number of senior officials of (Bapco) for discovery and development, exploration managers and engineers from international companies based in Bahrain such as Schlumberger, Halliburton and others, as well as a number of professors and students at the University of Bahrain.
