UOB Team Wins Second Place in 2023-2024 Trade Quest Program

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, congratulated UoB team for winning second place in the 2023-2024 Investment Trading Challenge (Trade Quest) Program, which was declared by Bahrain Bourse.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari praised the program, which provided students with realistic simulation experiences of investing in capital markets, through learning about systems and regulations applicable in both Bahrain Bourse and New York Stock Exchange, as well as personal skills, including presentation skills, teamwork, conflict and time management.

 

The team consisted of UoB students from College of Business Administration, College of Science, and College of Engineering, namely Ali Dilami, Hamad Al-Dosari, Alaa Hussein, Bayan Shehab, Maram Murad, Fatima Marhoon, Abdullah Mohammad, and Maryam Al-Sayrafi. The team was supervised by Dr. Shrikant Panigrahi, Assistant Professor of Finance. The students who participated in the program over six months gained practical experiences in investment, through which they could develop their skills and understanding of economic foundations and factors affecting them.

 

The Investment Trading Challenge (Trade Quest) Program, organized by Bahrain Bourse, is a virtual challenge program simulating experiences of investment trading in global financial markets, with the aim of introducing participants to regulations and laws applicable in New York Stock Exchange and Bahrain Bourse, while enhancing their analytical and administrative skills.

 

This year, 26 educational institutions, including 10 schools and 6 universities, participated in the twenty-fifth edition of the program.
