UOB Shares Its Experience in Business Incubators and Accelerators with UniTS

The University of Bahrain (UOB) received a delegation from the University of Trieste (UniTS) in Italy, headed by Prof. Franca Dore, officer-in-charge of business incubator, intellectual property, and business accelerators at the Italian university, and in the presence of Ms. Martina Di Piazza,  Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Italy.

During the visit, the delegation learned about business incubators, business accelerators, intellectual property and copyright preservation of intellectual innovations and inventions at UOB, which took place on the margins of their participation in the fifth edition of the World Entrepreneurship and Investment Forum 2024 (WEIF), which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Moreover, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of UOB, praised the close relationship between the University of Bahrain and a number of higher education institutions in Italy, welcoming cooperation with University of Trieste in various fields, especially in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

For his part, Professor Dr. Franca Dore, officer-in-charge of business incubator, intellectual property, and business accelerators at UniTS, stressed the University’s keenness to enhance international cooperation in the field of education, develop joint research activities, and cooperate in projects of interest to both parties.

Additionally, the delegation toured the university campus, which included several facilities, including: the Cloud Innovation Center and the Business Incubation Center, in order to get acquainted with UOB’s experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, and to discuss ways of cooperation between the students of both universities to work on joint projects and innovations.
