In cooperation with the British Higher Education Academy and with national and Gulf participations University Of Bahrain Promotes Women’s Leadership in Various Sectors

The Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at University of Bahrain organized the Leadership Program for Women in Various Sectors (She Leads), which consists of a series of practical workshops and seminars, in cooperation with the British Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), during June 2024.
In his speech at the opening of the program, Dr. Fuad Mohamed Al-Ansari, UOB President, praised the leadership role of the academies at the University of Bahrain, pointing to the university’s keenness to provide a supportive and stimulating work environment for its employees, and to provide opportunities to develop their skills and abilities, to ensure the achievement of the desired goals, and increase productivity.
Dr. Al Ansari stressed the importance of women in industry and business, calling for the importance of motivating students to participate in various fields, enhancing leadership skills in the team, and the importance of achieving a balance between the requirements of work, social and personal life.
The program, which consisted of a four-day interactive workshop series, was delivered by Audrey Linton, Director of the Aurora Program at the British Higher Education Academy. The program aimed to enhance the role of women in various positions, provide a supportive environment, and a network of experts and specialists in the field of women’s leadership.
UTEL works to develop the teaching, learning and leadership skills of faculty members at University of Bahrain and local and regional universities, by organizing training programs and workshops, and providing consultations to colleges and departments to help them in academic development and professional development, in line with the University’s vision and mission, and its goals and strategic plans.
