32 Women Leaders Complete the “She Leads” Program At UOB

 

The University of Bahrain (UOB) organized a ceremony honoring the participants and speakers in the “She Leads” program, which was organized in cooperation with the British Higher Education Academy (Advance HE, AHE).

 

As 32 women leaders from the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries, as well as faculty members in a number of the Kingdom’s universities, have completed the program. In addition, 8 keynote speakers participated in the events of the program, which included a series of practical workshops and seminars.

 

Within his speech in the ceremony, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, UOB President, expressed his great happiness with the development witnessed by the program and the achievement of its objectives, especially in enhancing women’s roles. Moreover, he confirmed UOB’s support for all initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s roles and their effective participation in development.

 

In turn, Mr. Kristian Rumble, Head of Global Membership at AHE, praised the attention received by the “She Leads” program, and UOB’s efforts in activating the program’s outputs, noting that the University’s experience sets a good example in enhancing women’s role in various fields.
