Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad The 6th edition of “Micro Shabab” Forum Kicks off at the University of Bahrain with Broad Participation
In the presence and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahraini Olympic Committee, the sixth Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “Micro Shaba” kicked off this morning (Tuesday, October 1, 2024). The forum was organized by the Future Society for Youth in coordination with the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Initiatives Office at the University of Bahrain and takes place from 1-3 October 2024 at the Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University campus in Sakhir.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “Micro Shabab”, which reflects Bahrain’s desire to support and encourage Bahraini youth in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
His Highness stressed the importance of providing platforms that contribute to enhancing young people’s skills and developing their abilities to be future leaders in various fields, adding that the forum enhances young people’s role in the development of the country’s society and the economy, and is a great opportunity to explore entrepreneurial ideas and emerging projects that will contribute to the Kingdom’s economic growth.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his pride in Bahraini youth who continue to achieve successes in various fields, stressing that these initiatives reflect the wise leadership’s vision in building an innovative and creative generation that can face challenges.
His Highness added that such initiatives provide opportunities for Bahraini youth to communicate with experts and investors, which opens doors of new prospects for developing their ideas and transforming them into real life successful projects. His Highness stressed the importance of supporting such events and programs that focus on developing young people and providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve their aspirations. He called on young people to make the most of this forum and seize opportunities for learning and growth in the field of entrepreneurship, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
For his part, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, expressed the University’s honor in hosting the 6th edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum “Micro Shabab”, which is graced by the support of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, noting the Forum’s importance, which serves as an inspiring platform focusing on reviewing prominent challenges and opportunities in the world of entrepreneurship and enhancing young people’s entrepreneurial capacities.
For his part, Mr. Sabah Abdulrahman Al-Zayani, President of the Future Society for Youth, stressed the importance of the forum “Micro Shabab” as a specialized platform that helps foster a culture of entrepreneurship among young people and guide graduates towards business creation options by leveraging their social skills and networks and using various means available, noting that supporting and empowering young entrepreneurs is at the heart of the society’s work through its commitment to spreading entrepreneurial culture, embracing young entrepreneurs and providing them with the necessary support and encouraging them to unlock their potential.
The Forum’s programs began on the first day with an opening lecture titled “Lessons in leadership from Mount Everest”, in which Professor Mohamed Issa reviewed his distinctive experience during his trip to the summit of Mount Everest and lessons that contributed to raising knowledge and ways to meet challenges and difficulties.
The first day’s program also included a presentation on the fundamentals of writing the action plan presented by Professor Issa Al-Dosari, followed by a presentation titled “Financial Planning for Small Enterprises – A Path to Success”, in which Professor Norhan Al-Zan reviewed a set of plans aimed at achieving concrete results in financial management.
The three-day forum aims to consolidate important principles and themes within the framework of competitive values by reviewing experts’ experiences in entrepreneurship and exchanging inspiring ideas and presentations of youth in order to develop a youth system capable of managing successful and modern enterprises through interactive sessions on a range of critical topics, most notably building the business identity of entrepreneurial enterprises, success stories, financing and embracing entrepreneurs, and the role of AI in promoting entrepreneurship through social media.
