Under the Patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, UOB holds 26th Graduation Ceremony
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the University of Bahrain (UOB) celebrated the graduation of its 26th batch, honoring 3,500 graduates.
The event, hosted at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the university’s Sakhir campus, was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, along with ministers, officials, academics, and families.
In his remarks, Dr. Juma expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for supporting the ceremony, coinciding with Bahrain’s silver jubilee celebrations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession. He commended the achievements across various sectors and highlighted ongoing support for higher education, especially at the University of Bahrain.
His Excellency confirmed the University’s continued efforts under the leadership of its Board of Trustees to develop the quality of higher education and meet international quality standards, and to develop academic courses and disciplines that provide students with high-level academic education to meet the challenges of knowledge and contemporary science. He then gave his congratulations to graduate students and their parents.
Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of UOB, confirmed the university’s care towards students as they are the center of the educational process, working to achieve its targeted outcomes, and increase its competitiveness. He noted the job well done by the university affiliates over the years, in achieving scientific and cognitive achievements added to the Kingdom’s track record. He emphasized the institution’s dedication to reinforced students’ scientific and subjective capacities, preparing students to meet the demands of modern knowledge fields and contributing to the job market.
Graduate Modi Issa Al-Muslimani from the College of Law delivered an alumni speech: “It is a great day when feelings of happiness and pride are mixed with nostalgia and reminiscence for all the details of the time we spent in the hallways of our cherished university, as we remember to keep hope high and big, to achieve everything we dream and hope for.”
Al-Muslimani added: “We recall this rich journey of years spent in university, and work to continue onto a more distinctive journey in science and education”, she thanked the parents and teachers of the National University who attributed to the successful conclusion of this journey and graduation.
The minister honored the outstanding graduates and those achieving first and second honors. The 26th graduation ceremonies will continue until November 17, with graduates from each faculty celebrated in separate events.
