Under the Patronage of HRH, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, BTC Celebrates the Graduation of its 13th Batch
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Teachers College (BTC) held its 13th graduation ceremony of 319 students, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain (UOB), and a number of officials, academics and parents, in Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at UOB’s headquarters in Sakhir.
During the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Education delivered a speech in which he expressed his great pride and appreciation for the generous care that higher education receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom, representing His Majesty’s vision and aspirations in support of this strategic sector that plays a vital role in supporting the path of benevolence, under His Majesty’s leadership, and graduating national cadres who contribute to development efforts from various locations.
Furthermore, Dr. Juma expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his patronage of BTC graduation ceremony, noting the support and continuous follow-up that the College receives from the government, headed by His Highness, which enables it to fully carry out its intended mission.
Additionally, His Excellency affirmed the Ministry’s support for this College in order to advance the levels of its programs, build fruitful partnerships, and conclude agreements with prestigious international institutions, allowing to keep abreast with best practices and opening further avenues for graduates, extending his congratulations to the students, their parents, and the College’s academics and administrators.
Moreover, Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of BTC, delivered a speech in which she thanked the Ministry of Education for it support of the College, allowing it to perform its duties to the fullest. Also, she thanked the College’s Board of Directors and members of the academic and administrative bodies, congratulating the graduates on joining the constellation of school teachers, and their expected contribution to making a difference in the lives of future generations.
The ceremony featured an alumni speech delivered by teacher Maram Al-Qassimi, followed by the graduates’ speech in Arabic and English delivered by the students Mohammed Arif Al-Qouti and Zahraa Makki Kadhem.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UOB, honored the distinguished students and presented certificates to the graduates.
