Dr. Al Kaabi participates in an international conference on teaching Arabic in Moscow
Dr. Dheya Abdulla Al Kaabi, Associate Professor of Modern Literary Criticism and Narratology in the department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, participated in the international scientific and practical conference on teaching Arabic in the modern world: traditions and innovations, held in the Russian capital Moscow.
Dr. Al Kaabi represented the University of Bahrain and presented a paper entitled “Cultural Innovation Industry through Arabic Literature Courses in Higher Education Institutions in the 21st Century: Creative Writing a Proposed Cultural Model”, during the Conference held on 16th and 17th November 2024.
The event was held in partnership between Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Centre of Primakov International School and the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University with direct participation of the Ministry of Education of the Federal Republic of Russia.
The International Scientific Conference witnessed extensive research engagements from selected senior speaking professors from Russian, Arab and foreign universities. The final session of the conference also witnessed the issuance of a number of important recommendations on engaging in major initiatives, strategies and memorandums of understanding to achieve sustainable academic partnerships in teaching Arabic to other speakers between Russian and Arab universities, including GCC universities.
