UoB Applied Studies Teachers Receive CISCO Certification

Dean of the Applied Studies College at UoB, Dr. Sadeq Mehdi Al-Alawi honored the College faculty members who have recently been awarded CISCO Certification.

CISCO awards network certification for professionals according to specific standards, inclusive of passing the required examinations for each accreditation. The number of examinations ranges from one to four per accreditation.

The technical certification was recently awarded to: Hussain Abdul-Rasoul, Coordinator of Technical Programs; Herbert Azuela and Aji Mathew and Shanu Joseph who are faculty members.

The examinations are held at the Pearson VUE Centers around the world.

Dr. Al-Alawi commended the awarding of international certifications, and said that such accreditation and other similar certifications would promote the technical skills, and thus encourage the continuous development of faculty members.
