Dr. Al-Zayed appointed Head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Bahrain Teachers College

Bahrain University Council has recently approved the decision to appoint Dr. Amal Zayed Al-Zayed, Assistant Professor at the Teachers College of Bahrain, as Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies at the College.

Dr. Al-Zayed holds a PhD in Philosophy of Education from the University of Huddersfield, UK, in 2016 and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum (Specialization: Islamic Education) from the University of Bahrain in 2005. She did a Bachelor of Islamic Education and Teaching Methods at the United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain, UAE.

Dr. Al-Zayed joined the academic faculty in the College of Education in 2000, and moved to the Bahrain Teachers College in 2012. She supervised the Office of Practical Education at the College of Education, and contributed to the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods from 2003 to 2011.

Dr. Al-Zayed participated in the “City Document: First Citizenship Convention” Forum as well as in the “Role of Teacher in Education Efficiency” conference in May this year.
