Dr. Fatema AlBalooshi Publishes Science and Technology Academic Book

Electronic Nose Technologies and Advances in Machine Olfaction, as an academic scholarly book in the field of science and technology, has recently been published by IGI Global. The book was written by Dr. Fatema Abdul Qadir Albalooshi, Assistant Professor of Information Technology at the University of Bahrain, and Prof. Yousef Al Bastaki, former Professor of Information Technology at the University of Bahrain.

The many academic areas covered in this publication include, but are not limited to, Artificial Odor Classification System, Chemical Sensing, Drift Compensation Methods, Explosive Detection, Food Spoilage Detection, and Odor Sensing.

Dr. Albalooshi has received a BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain, MSc from the University of Nottingham, UK (2009) and a PhD degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Dayton, US (2015).

She contributed to the Computer Vision Lab and the UD Vision Lab at the University of Dayton.

She has published widely in the field of computer vision and image processing. Her other research interests include Network Security and Documentation, Image Enhancement, Neural Networks, Medical Image Shredding, Electronic Nose Technology, and 3D Reconstruction.
