Law Students at the UOB are Practically Trained Through Virtual Communication
The Coordinator of the Practical Training Office at the College of Law, Dr. Bassim Mohammed Al-Sharji, stated “The Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic didn’t stop the practical training program†stressing that students have started practical training in several entities, through virtual communication platforms, due to the circumstances witnessed by the whole world in light of the spreading of the (Covid-19) pandemic, while committing to precautionary measures to preserve the safety and health of students.
Dr. Al-Sharji pointed out that the College of Law coordinates with the authorities, institutions and law firms of the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide a set of workshops on the legal aspect, in addition to benefiting from the program offered by INJAZ Bahrain, in addition to coordination with the University’s Business Incubation Center.
Furthermore, he explained that cooperation has been made with the Legal Consulting Office at the General Directorate of Traffic Services, where the first legal researcher, Aisha Al-Khaja, presented a set of workshops that included an introduction to the General Directorate of Traffic Services, judicial reservations, points program, traffic accidents, writing a lecture, and the relationship of traffic law to other legislation, and how to draft legal opinion.
Also, cooperation has been made with the Information and eGovernment Authority, where the legal advisor at the Authority, Dr. Muneera Mubarak Al-Fadhel, presented a workshop entitled: “The Role of the Information and E-Government Authority in the Law of Electronic Speech and Transactions.†And the first lawyer in the Authority, Noura Al-Huwaishi, presented a workshop entitled: “The Role of the Information And E-Government Authority in the law regulating the registration of births and deaths. “
