Nursing Professor at UoB Presents the E-Learning Experience 

During her participation in a forum entitled: “Preparing Future Nurses for The Real World”, organized by the global publishing house (Pearson) on the 17th of March 2021 via Zoom, the Head of the Integrated Sciences Department at the College of Health and Sports Sciences (CHSS) at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Rabab Abdulwahab, presented the experience of using e-learning tools in support of education before and after the Covid-19 pandemic.  

During her speech, Dr. Abdulwahab explained how students interact with these tools, and stated that they “Added real value to education, made students’ learning more fun, and attracted their attention, and described how these tools transformed the role of the teacher from a provider of information to a guide for students, which contributed to raising the level of students’ achievement and enhancing their positive attitude towards learning. 

Furthermore, Dr. Abdulwahab said that “The employment of interactive tools in distance learning has enhanced the evaluation process by providing tests and assignments and students’ access to immediate feedback. 

Also, she presented a set of guidelines that contribute to the success and impact of e-learning and believed in the importance of the teacher’s familiarity with the students’ experience in the field of technology, the selection of assessments that achieve the desired educational goals, the need to train students on various interactive activities, and encourage teamwork, in addition to including time management skills in learning activities.
