The Deanship of Student Affairs at UoB Prepares Students for Student Elections 

Head of the Training Department and Acting Head of Outreach Department at the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Jahmi, called on students at the University of Bahrain (UoB) wishing to run for the upcoming student elections to be true in preparing their electoral programs and to stay away from unfulfillable promises. 

This came in a workshop entitled “Biography and the Election Program” presented by Al-Jahmi to UoB students via virtual space, as part of the ” Future Leaders Development” workshop program, which is being held by the Deanship of Student Affairs during the second semester of the current academic year 2021/2020. 

Moreover, Al-Jahmi spoke about the content of the electoral program, and its social, cultural, and administrative service themes, and explained the main steps in electoral campaigning, and the basic rules for communicating with voters. 

As Al-Jahmi referred to the electoral program and what the candidate should consider in its preparation, stressing the importance of matching the topics to the needs of the college students, having a time plan for the program, and not repeat topics, in addition to having clarity and straightforwardly explain the program to the voters. 

For her part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Maliki, said that the ” Future Leaders Development Program ” is a set of lectures and training workshops organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in various administrative, leadership, social and psychological skills, which aims to provide students with leadership skills and creative thinking, develop students’ administrative and technical skills, and raise a conscious generation capable of contributing effectively to the nation’s renaissance.
