President of the University of Bahrain: Investing in Human Resources Helps achieve Sustainable Development .. The University of Bahrain Holds the Third Virtual Career Fair for the Sectors of Industry, Communications and Law

The University of Bahrain held the third virtual career exhibition, to enhance the bonds of communication between university students and the labor market and familiarize employers from public and private sector institutions with the outputs of university education, and the scientific and professional competence of students and graduates, with the continuous support of the University Council, to reach the highest levels of integration and communication with the community.
The Fair is held annually based on the insightful vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to promote national cadres for the sake of development of the national economy, in line with the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister May God protect him, that human development is a pivotal element in the renaissance of Bahrain.
The Career Counselling Office, part of the Office of Vice-President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs at the University of Bahrain organized the Fair on Wednesday November 17, 2021, under the patronage of the President of the University, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki.
The president of the university, Dr. Al-Mudhahki stressed on the role of the plans and programs entrusted to the Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs in promoting development and communication between the University of Bahrain and all business sectors in the Kingdom, in light of the increasing competitiveness and challenges in the labor market. She appreciated the role played by various sectors for absorbing graduates in the fields of work, and raising their levels through training programs.
The university hosted representatives of the institutions of the industrial, telecommunications and law sectors. The telecom companies Batelco, Zain and “STC” participated in the Fair, in addition to the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs.
For his part, the Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al-Ansari, added that the university provides every possible support to the students in order to develop their professional skills, and prepare them to be practically qualified to engage in the labor market. He urged students to benefit from the various counseling programs and workshops, practical training programs, and employment programs while studying at the university, to acquire more skills that refine and develop their talents.
The speakers briefed the attendants about their institutions, career advancement strategies, job opportunities for students and graduates, training programs and opportunities at different institutions, and the necessary skills and capabilities that employers want applicants to have.
In the first Career Fair, the university hosted banking sector institutions, including the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), and BENEFIT Company. In the second Career Fair, the university hosted Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Al Salam Bank, Gulf Insurance Group, Solidarity, and Bahrain National Insurance Company.
