In a Meeting With “Bahrainouna” in the Presence of “BIPA” UoB Stresses the Importance of Spreading and Promoting National Values and Belonging Among its Students

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, welcomed the cooperation and coordination with the national plan to strengthen national belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship “Bahrainouna”, as it spreads the values of patriotism and enhances belonging among the University’s students.
Dr. Al-Mudhaki added that the values of patriotism are an essential component in many common academic curricula and student activities of a national nature that tend to inspire authentic Bahraini values, pass them from one generation to another, and consolidate synergy and the spirit of belonging to the homeland, its leadership and its people, stressing that “The students of our national university have proven – over the years and in all the fundamental national areas – that they are always at the highest ranks.”
In its meeting on Thursday ( 30 December 2021), UoB Council was briefed on the presentation made by the Director of the Executive Office of the national plan to strengthen national belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship “Bahrainouna”, presented by Hala Ahmed Sulaiman, in the presence of the Director General of Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams.
The presentation comes as part of a series of meetings between UoB and the Executive Office of Bahrainouna, to enhance partnership and benefit from the research and academic capabilities in general at the National University, in addition to benefiting from youth energies that are eager to engage in national volunteer work.
After the meeting, Dr. Bin Shams said that BIPA is one of the main partners of “Bahrainna”, for the objectives of this plan that focus on belonging to the homeland, loyalty to the leadership, and pride in the Gulf and Arab stretches of the Bahraini citizen, in a way that consolidates the values of pluralism and tolerance and creates a general spirit of responsibility based on deep knowledge of rights and duties, noting that UoB is “a fertile field for these lofty and noble values, which prevail among all its affiliates.”
For her part, Sulaiman said: “The University of Bahrain is the largest youth community in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and participation in initiatives and directions to consolidate and enhance the values of patriotism through “Bahrainouna” programs and events would ensure a wider spread of these noble national values throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.” Stressing that the partnership with UoB will have the greatest impact in reaching the objectives of the national plan “Bahrainouna”.
