The President of UoB Receives the Economist in Islamic Banking Prof. Mohammad Kabir Hassan

The Economist in Islamic banking from the University of New Orleans in the United States of America, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kabir Hassan, was received by the President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, at the University headquarters on Tuesday (30 November 2021).

The President of UoB welcomed Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kabir Hassan, praising the importance of these meetings with experts and specialists, which will benefit the Islamic banking work and provide graduate students with the opportunity to learn from them and gain experiences.

As Dr. Kabir Hassan, presented a lecture entitled “FinTech in Islamic Financial Institutions: Inclusion, Sustainability and Stability”, which was organized by the Department of Economics and Finance at the College of Business Administration at UoB.

It is worth noting that Dr. Mohammad Kabir Hassan was awarded the Islamic Development Bank Prize for the year (2016) in the field of Islamic banking and finance. Also, he has many research and accomplishments in the field of Islamic banking and financial services, as well as authoring and participating in editing books and magazines and developing academic courses in this field.
