Inaugurated by the President of the University, Dr. Jawaher Al-Mudhahki.. UoB Holds the Virtual International Conference on Data Analytics

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, will inaugurate on Monday 25 October 2021 the events of the second International Virtual Conference on Data Analytics for Economy and Industry, which will be held under the theme, “Road to Sustainable Economy”.
The conference is organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research of UOB, in collaboration with the College of Science, the College of Business Administration and the College of Information Technology, in partnership with prestigious international universities and institutions and with the participation of academicians, graduate students, and local and international data analytics experts. The keynote participants and supporters include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Informs Bahrain International Group, Skema Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom.
The conference, which will be held on Monday and Tuesday 25-26 October 2021 will focus on sustainable development goals and the strategic plan of the University of Bahrain, which is based on the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and stemming from international visions to create knowledge economy based on the optimal use of data.
It is planned that five keynote speakers shall participate in the conference, namely the Co-Director of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics at Liverpool John Moores University, Professor Paulo Lisbo, Associate Professor of Data Science from Liverpool John Moores University, Dr Evan Oller, and Director of the Department of Studies and research at the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) Dr. Omar Al-Obaidli, specialist in operations research of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States of America, Professor Laura Albert, and the Director of the Skema Institute for Artificial Intelligence in France, Professor Dr. David Latorre.
