In partnership with Business and Economics Society International, the 38th Business & Economics Society International (B&ESI) Conference Kicks off at UoB on Wednesday

The University of Bahrain will hold the 38th Business & Economics Society International (B&ESI) Conference, in partnership with the Society, on 2-4 March 2022. The conference will be chaired by the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen AlMudhaki, and Dr. Dimitri Kantarelis, Professor of Economics at Assumption University in Massachusetts, the United StatesSe.
Several keynote speakers including academians and high-ranking government officials will talk about their experiences in management, engineering, leadership, training, productivity, relative deprivation, poverty, happiness, and in particular education, namely Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Prof. Maen Al Qatamin, Prof. Satya Paul, and Dr. Sergio Baez.
The conference sessions will address several research issues including finance, industrial organization, human resources, practice, environment, marketing, economic development, management, technology, education, finance and investments, accounting, and macro economy.
Professor of Structural Engineering and former Minister of Higher Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt and Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, will give a lecture in the first session, entitled “The Role of Education and Scientific Research in Economic and Social Development”.
The founder and CEO of Knowledge Horizon Ltd Company and the former Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prof. Dr. Maen Mardi Al Qatamin will give a lecture in the eighth session of the second day, entitled “The Impact of Metaverse on Business Practices and Business Administration”.
Professor of Economics at the Australian National University, Professor Dr. Satya Paul, will give a lecture on the tenth session of the second day, entitled “Measuring Welfare Inequality in the World: A Multidimensional Approach”. The Director of Property Rights, Empowerment and Excellence at Central Falls, Rhode Island, the US Dr. Sergio Baez, will give a lecture on the third day of the conference entitled “The Future of Education”.
The conference’s organizing committee is chaired by the Dean of the College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain, Prof. Hatem bin Mahmoud Al-Masry, Head of the Economics and Finance Department at the College of Business Administration, Dr. Hana Saeed Bawazir, and the Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance, Dr. Ammar Barham Jreisat.
