Institute of Management Accountants Offers Ten Scholarships to UoB Students of Business Administration

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), with the coordination of the Accounting Department, College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain, announced allocating ten scholarships annually for students of the Bachelor of Accounting, level 400, and MBA students, University of Bahrain for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Certification.

The College of Business Administration held a meeting with the Institute of Management Accountants, which was attended by the Head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Abdullah Khaled Al-Jalahma, Associate Professor Gagan Kukreja , and Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Zaki Yassin from UoB, the representative of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the director of Academic & Community Relations Manager, Middle East & Africa, Rishi Malhotra, and the president of the IMA in Bahrain, Ibrahim Hussain Ali.

The meeting discussed various aspects of cooperation between the College and the Institute, aimed at providing a comprehensive educational experience, enabling students and young entrepreneurs to pursue specialized and internationally accredited qualifications, in addition to bridging the gap between students’ skills and the new market requirements through continuous initiatives that add value to young professionals.

It is worthy to note that the Institute of Management Accountants is one of the largest institutes that focus on developing skills and bridging the gap in the profession of management accounting around the world. The Certified Management Accountant certificate is a professional certificate specialized in the fields of management accounting and financial management. The certificate qualifies its holder in the areas of financial planning, analytics, control, decision support, and professional ethics.
